Posting Guidelines

1. Videos posted must be of the users own performance. Users must own full copyright to all content within their video entry or have permission to use and publish the content. You shall be solely responsible for the content and the consequences of posting it. You agree that Next Webstar is not responsible for any violations of any intellectual property rights in any content submitted to Next Webstar. If we have reason to believe that a user has posted a video that is not theirs, we will remove the video and a warning email will be sent to the user. Multiple violations of this rule will result in loss of membership to the site.


2. Users may post up to 3 entries in any contest. Next Webstar will remove any video entry that is submitted by the same user in the same contest after their limit of 3 has been reached. Users are also allowed up to 3 member accounts from the same IP address. If a user creates more than 3 accounts from the same IP address, Next Webstar retains the right to remove their video entry. If accounts are created for the sole pupose of abusing the voting system or any other feature of the site, the user's video entry will be removed and their account may be deleted. Users are not allowed to have more than 3 votes for their entry from the same IP address.


3. Do not alter the embed tags provided by your host site. Users that alter the embed tags will be warned and possibly banned from the site.


4. Be sure to submit your video into the correct contest. Videos that do not fit into the proper contest or any current contest will be moved to the correct contest or possibly removed from the site. Next Webstar reserves the right to modify or alter these guidelines at any time.

By submitting and posting content to NextWebstar.com you hereby grant Next Webstar the necessary rights and licenses to display such content on any page of NextWebstar.com and in conjunction with any other content that may be found on the site.

Next Webstar reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Service with or without notice to the Member. This includes but is not limited to blocking a user from accessing the site, removing video entries, removing user photos, removing user accounts, editing user profiles, and editing user comments. Users may post up to three entries in any contest. Next Webstar will remove any video entry that is submitted by the same user in the same contest after their limit of three has been reached. Users are also allowed up to 3 accounts from the same IP address. If a user creates more than 3 accounts from the same IP address, Next Webstar retains the right to remove their video entry. 1. What is Next Webstar all about?
   Next Webstar is a community-based website dedicated to giving everyone the opportunity to become a star. It is also a web-based utility that enables its members to create a profile, enter videos into periodic talent contests, watch other video entries, vote on videos, develop a fan base, network with others, make friends, and get discovered. Members are provided with the tools they need to build their fan base through promotion and networking. Next Webstar has the unique ability to catapult individuals into careers by bypassing the "who you know" and "right place, right time" of the entertainment industry. Next Webstar is for anyone who thinks they have what it takes to become a star (or just wants to have fun trying).


2. How do I enter a contest?
   First you will need to shoot a video of yourself performing your talent for a specific contest. Once you have loaded the video onto your computer from your camcorder, webcam, or cell phone, you can then upload the video to any host site. A host site is any site that allows you to upload a video and post it on the web with a provided embed tag. Many websites such as YouTube, Yahoo Video, Google Video, and PhotoBucket will allow you to upload video for free and will provide you with the embed tag for posting on other sites. Once you have your video uploaded you can then copy and paste the provided embed tag into your Next Webstar contest entry form. You can fill out an entry form by clicking on the Submit button on the top navigation bar or by going to the contest page and clicking on the Enter Contest button. Please refer to the Posting Guidelines section for more information.


3. How is the winner of a contest determined?
   The winner of each contest is determined by the total number of votes they have received for their video entry. The contestant with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, other factors such as number of fans, number of comments and page views will be taken into consideration in order to break the tie.


4. What does the winner of a contest receive?
   The winner of each contest will have their video linked on the Next Webstar's homepage for a period of time and then it will be posted into Next Webstar's Hall of Fame. The exposure and potential to be noticed by Producers and Talent scouts are some of the biggest advantages of winning a contest. As Next Webstar grows, we will attempt to offer prizes and/or cash for contest winners.


5. How can I increase my chances of winning?
   As with anything in life, practice makes perfect. The more you practice your talent, the better you will become. We also suggest to enter as many contests as you can. This will make you familiar with the process and increase your chances of getting noticed by fellow Webstars. Last but certainly not least, tell your family and friends to vote for your videos. Send them an email, give them a call, post comments on their blog or MySpace page. Building your fan base is extremely important if you want to become a star. This is a necessity for anyone in the business.
